about

As the warm summer days are finally here and Branko’s instantly memorable single Time Out feat. Orlando Santos is dominating radio playlists and pool parties everywhere, the Buraka Som Sistema founding member reached out to some of his favorite producers to help him put a new spin on his tropical pop anthem. Serving as the opener for his ‘Drums, Slums & Hums’, this track showed the world a new side of the veteran producer, who presented his mixtape as a musical resumé of sorts, condensing ten years of musical growth into a cohesive and forward-thinking piece.

Summertime calls for relaxing as much as partying, so it’s no wonder that the garage don DJ Q was called in to turn the track into an uplifting dancefloor smasher. Adding playful bouncing basslines, 2-step beats and a quintessentially British attitude, the Huddersfield native twists Branko’s original into a breezy track that’s bound to become a staple of after-hours beachside DJ sets.

Enchufada’s very own Voxels stepped up to prove why they deserve their reputation as house connoisseurs. Funky basslines, epic strings and smooth synths get layered over a four-to-the-floor beat in true Voxels fashion, taking Orlando Santo’s smooth lyrics straight to the club, and showing the world why their unmistakable ‘bachelor house’ sound has been wowing crowds and critics alike.

Perhaps better known for collaborating with MC Zebra Katz on their ‘Winter Titty EP’, Lithuanian producer Boyfriend is a force to be reckoned with. Inspired by the slow and sweaty rhythms of moombahton, he puts his trademark tropical twist on everything he touches and Branko’s latest single is no exception. Keeping in line with the smoothness of the original, Boyfriend layers tropical percussion and soft synths over Orlando Santos’ dreamy lyrics with stellar results.

To cap things off on a high note, Branko also provides a fresh twist to the single by going straight to the point on the new Radio Edit, a shorter version of the original track that has been warming up the airwaves since it was released in April. This brand new EP also includes another stand-out track from the ‘Drums, Slums & Hums’ mixtape, the Roses Gabor-featuring Waves, a dancefloor-oriented cut with a big bouncing beat that finds balance with the London singer’s seductive hushed tones.
